A New Logo For A New Era!

     We've made it. Just over a year ago, I finally took the initiative to shift the TAFI site to the Blogspot format and share it with the WDWMagic.com community. Along with the new website came the old logo for the group. It was quickly put together and has valiantly represented us since.

     However, today we are proud to present the new logo for TAFI. It is smooth and magical, representing our transition into a new era this year with so many new offerings.

We are also happy to announce some of these new offerings below...

• All new informational threads will be posted to the Imagineer forum on WDWMagic.
• ICS Weekends are coming soon to the Imagineer forum this November!
• There will be an annual awards ceremony, called the WDWMagic.com|TAFI Dreamfinder Awards, every December 31st beginning at 12 PM EST.
• The winner of the ICS Tournament will be announced at 11 PM EST on December 31st.
• The current point system of ranking ICS participants will fade into the past, replaced by the TAFI Poll, a voting system based upon college football's AP Poll.
• The days stretching from December 26th to December 31st will be known as New Year's Week, featuring fun, interactive event threads all leading up to the big day on December 31st.
• Elections will occur quarterly to elect the TAFI Conversationalists in 2015.

More on the above items soon. Until then, remember that all of this is just...fun!

TAFI Showcase #3: Dinoland by ctxak98

This was one of ctxak98's many steps to becoming the runner up of Master of the Parks Season 1. It was his design for Challenge 3: the ultimate redesign of Dinoland U.S.A. at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Ok first I want to describe what my land is all about. I recently did revamp Dinoland in another thread here so I wanted to incorporate those ideas but still change them at the same time. Either way the ideas were mine and are completely Original. So I didnt copy is what I am trying to get at.

I wanted Dinoland to be more cohesive as a land. I felt Asia and Africa all have aunified look and thats what I want for Dinoland so what I created is a land with a more Natural and wild look to it to make it seem like dinosaurs could live there, yet still incorporate the Dino Institute story.

The story goes that the Dino Institute has started research in the area and has closed it off from the public for a couple of years. The area is now being opened to the guests to explore and get a hands on view of what these scientists and paleontologists do everyday. The land will include many differant elements in it now. The whole Chester and Hester carnival area will be nothing but a mere nightmare after this transformation. The ride, show, food, shoppping and Museums will all be unique to the area. The rides and shows include Mesozoic Miners, Prehistoric Caverns, Countdown to Extinction, Iguanodon Encounter, Age of the Dinosaurs, The Boneyard, and The beggining of Time. Not to mention some food and shops I will go into detail about later.

Now I want to talk about each of the attractions!

16 Months of TAFI

Coming up later this month is the sixteen month anniversary of this team. In January of 2013 I started the original TAFI website but it never took off. Then, in the fall of that same year, I shared this group with the members of WDWMagic.com along with a new concept called the ICS. Many people joined and expressed excitement for the program. I have to thank so many people who have made this a fun and possible time.

TAFI Showcase #2: The Legend of the Samurai by BryceM

This was a concept developed by Bryce for WED's Think Different Challenge. The challenge that week was to simply design an attraction, anywhere, any theme. There was only one catch...you couldn't place guests in a vehicle that moved them around. Intro

I’m tired. I’m hungry. I’d give my left arm for a bite out of that kid’s churro. How exactly does that small rope manages to hold back thousands of people? Whatever, I don’t care, nothing can ruin my day! Not even the 40 degree florida humidity! I’m at Hollywood Studios, Disney world's newly refurbished park! What to do first? The beautiful Melrose Avenue maybe? Or get myself a malt at the soda fountain? Or maybe follow the crowds to the new Star Wars land? No. None of them. I know exactly where I’m going. Hyperion Avenue! The beautiful new area that replaced the underwhelming Animation Courtyard. I wonder what it’s like? I have never really searched into it before. Oh well, I’m sure I’ll be-- WOOOOOW!

I thought we had 10 minutes until rope drop! Jeeez, I can’t even breathe in these crowds. Glad I’m avoiding Star Wars for a while. Ah good, everyone’s turning left. Luckily, I’m heading ri-- Wow. I never noticed how amazing the chinese theatre is without the hat. Thank goodness it’s at the front of the park now, really does suit. Ok, now to Hyperion Avenue!
