Every year, competitors taking part in the ICS and ACS competitions receive points. In each competition first place gets the most points, while last place gets the least amount of points. ICS contest hosts receive 15 points each, while ACS hosts get 10 points. Host points nonwithstanding, 600 points are given out to competitors over the year. 300 are distributed in the ICS, with 75 points per competition, and 300 are distributed in the ACS, with 50 points per contest (due to having six ACS competitions and four ICS competitions). The amount of points for the winner and all places behind it is determined by how many people are in the competition.
